Solomon loved Jehovah, walked in the statutes of David, his father, but he offered sacrifices in “high places” even when approaching the true God, often mixing it up with the Brazen Altar, the people going there too.  He did not cleave to the Ark.

But David did.  David had placed the Ark, (a picture of Christ) in Zion, God’s chosen Centre.

What a loss to a Christian it is today, not to see in Christ, (our Ark) the one gathering Centre, the secret of His will according to the revelation He has made of Himself while hidden.
